The Brightest VFD Module
Coming soon, CU20027-YX1A is bright and vibrant emissive display that is intended for applications where brightness was an issue.
CU20027-YX1A is capable of increasing it's brightness up to 400%. If brightness is what you need, CU20027-YX1A is currently the brightest Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) module from Noritake Itron.
For applications intended for use in high ambient conditions, the display is recommended to have minimum of 5:1 contrast ratio. The use of filter is recommended to increase CU20027-YX1A's contrast ratio in such conditions.
Same as 20x2 LCD footprint
CU20027-YX1A and popular 20x2 character LCD shares the same PCB size (116 mm x 37 mm or 4.57 in x 1.46 in) and mounting holes.
For the current popular 20x2 character LCD users or 20x2 VFD module
(Y Series, U version and 7000 Series) users, CU20027-YX1A requires no modification to the hardware and has character height of 7 mm.

CU20027-YX1A also comes with 3 font sizes and alternate font style's for selected characters.
If the built-in font tables doesn't satisfy your needs, create your own with CU20027-YX1A's customizable font table (stores up to 256 characters).

Display For All Environment
Whether if your product is going to be used in cold north pole or hot desert, CU20027-YX1A VFD modules can operate in the most demanding environment.
CU20027-YX1A temperature range: -40° C up to +85° C
LCD temperature range: -20° C up to +70° C
Unlike the LCD where the performance drops in subzero temperatures, CU20027-YX1A performs better in subzero temperatures.
