In the Semi-Custom BDVFD's structures, it employs as many as standardized common parts and tools
for the production, such as a glass packages, all of the metal parts including grid mesh and
filament frame and supports, grid press, frame and filament assembly tools,
and many other production tools and equipments at factory. The anode bases on the glass substrate and grid mesh are all standardized and the only custom parts is masks just for the phosphor, carbon and the insulator layers. The through holes will be made for just needed segments, and will be killed for unused anodes. The custom icons will be controlled by overlapped grid scan. |
