Noritake Company Inc. introduces a new and unique VFD display.
The display is a Vacuum Fluorescent Display with multicolored LEDs used as backlights.

Advantages:
The LEDs provide a bright colored or multicolored background to the VFD display. The designated color is controlled by software commands and can be used as a warning of performance or merely to provide a more attractive appearance such as in vending or gaming applications.
Because the readout data of the VFD is from a self emitting light source, the brightness and viewing angle provide superior display performance.
The result is a cost effective display that enhances the opportunities to use VFDs in a number of new applications that require a distinctive color background. Click here for diagram.
