LCD Compatible U Version
U Version is LCD compatible Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) and available in 16x2, 20x2, 20x4, 24x2, 40x2, and 40x4 character numbers.
Compared to LCD, U Version VFD module is a bright and vibrant emissive display which makes it easier to read from short and long distance. U version can also withstand the most demanding environmental conditions.
Brightness boost model available.
LCD Drop-in Replacement
U Version is Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) module with LCD compatible PCB size and mounting hole.
U Version and LCD both share the same interface and command structure. To replace from LCD to VFD, simply removed the LCD and replace it with U Version VFD module.
By swiching to U Version VFD module, you can avoid the cost of redesigning the application and gain the benefits of bright and vibrant display that can
stand to the most demanding environmental conditions.

U Version temperature range: -40° C up to +85° C.
LCD temperature range: -20° C up to +70° C.

| The display response time for LCD is determined by the time it takes for the liquid crystal molecules to untwist and straighten out. Unlike the VFD, LCD freezes at below 0° condition causing the LCD to perform very slow. |
