Getting Started with GT-CP | Step 1. Connect Display
Compared with existing ITO based touch panels, our touch technology achieves superior sensitivity.
This includes its ability to operate with a cover glass and gloves even water spillage conditions.

Command-based controls are easily driven by off-the-shelf MCUs. After the module is powered, you can immediately start sending character code commands!
GT-CP has four touch channels that can use three different touch detection modes. Other than the general X-Y coordinate method, sections of the touch screen can be treated as individual switches.
Macro programs can be developed and saved onto the module and used without an external controller. These programs can also be set to execute upon system start-up.
Macro programs are also capable of controlling the module’s 26 general I/O ports. These ports can be used to control other peripheral devices.
The GU-TFT comes standard with both bitmap and outline fonts, along with font tables that include the English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean languages. You can also register your own font.
GU-TFT has 256MB of FROM to save image data, which is comparable to 305 screens.
We are very aware of how important long-term support is for our customers and continue to strive to maintain strong supply chains with our GT products. Please refer to the Long Term Support Policy for more information.
Optimize your manufacturing process by letting us take care of your connector, cable, conformal coating, filter, and control board needs.
Your needs are locally supported. Our sales offices are located worldwide and committed to providing the guidance, tools and technical resources directly.
We accept and ship orders from 1 pc. Our warehouse in Chicago can ship our products to customer in US/CANADA/MEXICO.

As long as your application software or program can use Microsoft WinUSB (a Windows® Generic Driver), there is no additional driver required.
For Windows 7, you may need to download and install the latest WinUSB driver from the Microsoft website.
If the WinUSB driver is not applicable, our virtual COM port driver might work instead.
For the Linux environment, please follow the instructions "USB Communication Method on Linux"
Quickly begin programming your own GUTFT application using an MSP-EXP430F5520LP or STM32f4Discovery controller with our code library. This library is written in C for the IAR Embedded Workbench.
This guide shows solutions to frequently asked questions and common problems that users may encounter while using Noritake GT series modules.

This collection of instruction documents are intended to guide the user through their first steps of using a GT-CP module. Currently, two “how to” guides are available: Connect to PC and Connect to Microcontroller.
We offer GTOMP which is the Windows® based development tool to support the creation of Graphical User Interface (GUI) prototypes, managing the image files on the memory, adjusting touch sensitivity, and more.
Note: The GTOMP is our GTOP upgrade and combines our GT-Packer and GTO Tool into a single platform.
For USB communication, we have used libusb.h (an open source library) and a generic USB driver. This web-page describes these methods in detail and provides example code to get you started.
We offer MSousi Programming Editor and Complier for the Noritake PMacro language which can make a standalone application or support your host board.
This document describes the detail of the GT-CP module including principal of the FLETAS® touch screen, case study of sensitivity adjustment, configuration of the command-set, interface example, font selection, programing example and more usable information to evaluate the module.
We support the GT-CP memory duplication process for your final projects created with our GTOMP tool or other software and copy them to a new GT-CP module.
The GT-Clone is a memory duplication tool for the GT-CP module and only uses “Read Memory” and “Write Memory” two steps for the cloning process.
Two metallized layers(x-y) are overlaid onto an LCD screen. These thin-film metallic panels have a lower impedance than typical ITO** touch panels. This allows for a higher S/N ratio, wider touch sense margin, and better overall sensitivity.
